  • Wix Designer Tip: Adding Verification Codes to your Wix Website

As a Wix Designer, I sometimes get these type of questions from my clients: "Pinterest is asking me to claim my website in order to be able to add tags on my items. I have to either add a html tag or upload html file. I'm not sure where I should place either of them in Wix. If a paste the tag into the "head"section of my index file, where should I place it?" or "Where can I put my Google Adwords Verification code on my Wix website?" I usually do this for my clients if working on their website design, but I wanted to share how simple it is with Wix to add these codes to your Wix website. If you want to verify your Wix website with Google Analytics, Bing, or claim your website on Pinterest or other social media, this video above shows where you can find the Tracking & Analytics area where you can insert the code into the header of your Wix website. Or, just follow the simple instructions below: Login to wix.com, Go to your Wix Editor In the Wix Editor, in the top menu, find Settings > Tracking & Analytics In this Tracking & Analytics panel you can add Tools to add new header verification codes to your Wix website. Social Media share image In this video I also show you where to add your Social Media share image (make sure to keep it at 16 x 9 dimensions, for example, 1200 X 630 pixels is an ideal high resolution size that Facebook recommends.

  • Wix Designer Tip: Add Links to your Blog Posts

As a Wix Designer, I get a lot of simple questions that have easy answers from my clients. Here's another quick tip on how you can add text links and also link your images in your blog posts in the Wix blog. All you need to do is highlight the text to link, then use the little link icon that appears in the editor tools (looks like a chain link) and then select where you want it to link to. If you want to link an image in your Wix blog, simply select the image, then use the link tool to add a link to the image. The more links you have on your blog posts, the better, as it helps guide readers to other pages on your website to learn more. Watch the video above to see how easy this is. Note: this tutorial is for the old Wix blog, which has better linking functionality, the new Wix blog doesn't allow for selecting pages to link to.... yet... we hope they add that functionality to the new blog soon! I still use the old Wix blog for all of my Website Design clients as it has better features than the new blog. Here is how you can add the old Wix blog to your website »

  • Wix Designer Tip: ShoutOut Emails – How to customize the Footer Link

As a Wix Designer, I just had this Wix Email footer link question come up with one of my clients (a Denver Watercolor Class Instructor and Watercolor Artist, Dennis Pendleton who has a blog and sends out email blasts with Watercolor tips and paintings). If you've ever used Wix ShoutOut, their email blasting system, you may have noticed that the default footer in templates has a website link that by default is linking to Wix. Make sure to customize this before you email out to your customers. Check out this quick video on how to customize your Wix email's footer links.

  • Wix Training – Editing Pages & Galleries in Wix

Here is a quick Wix Training Tutorial to show a client how to edit his pages and galleries in Wix. This tutorial covers how to hide or show pages in the menu, and how to customize and view the page URL, as well as make edits to the gallery or text and a PayPal button. This is for one of my Website Design clients, Watercolor Artist Dennis Pendleton, who teaches Denver Watercolor Classes and also offers Taos Watercolor Workshops and Steamboat Watercolor Workshops every summer. I've done the Taos Watercolor Workshop twice, it's a week filled with painting all day in beautiful Taos, New Mexico, with Dennis and other artists. The best part is the daily critique at the end of each day where we get to see everyone's paintings from the day and discuss challenges and successes. It's a wonderful way to learn how to paint better with Watercolor! Dennis does a Demonstration painting every morning, and the paintings on this page are the ones he does as demonstrations to show students how to use brushes, paints, color, and composition and watercolor techniques to create beautiful plein air watercolor paintings.

  • Fix Text Spacing in Wix

In this YouTube video I show you how to make adjustments to regular text in the Wix editor. There are great text tools such as leading and tracking* – Wix calls leading "Line Spacing" and it calls kerning "Letter Spacing" and those settings can be found in the Text Settings panel that opens up when you click on text to edit it. Make sure to scroll down to see the Character & Line Spacing settings. View video to see what I mean. What is leading, tracking and kerning? These are terms used in Print & Graphic Design, and they allow for adjustments of the text to fit the space better or have more breathing room. Leading (called Line Spacing in Wix) is a term that refers to the amount of space between lines in a paragraph. Tracking (called Character Spacing in Wix) is the horizontal spacing between characters. Kerning is more specific character spacing, that applies to individual characters. For example, sometimes you want to move letters closer together if they looked too spaced out. Kerning is often used for logos, but not typically on website text.

  • Why is my YouTube Video Blurry?

Are you wondering why your new YouTube Video is Blurry and is 360p resolution? Especially when you know that you uploaded a high resolution version? The answer is simple: Just wait. Immediately after publishing, even though YouTube tells you the video is done processing, it processes the low resolution versions first. The HD versions come last. So, videos often appear blurry on YouTube immediately after they are uploaded. .... I'm a Website Designer and Graphic Designer based in Denver, Colorado. • Is Google Plus Dead?

Well, Google Plus isn't quite dead... yet. Google+ announced in October 2018 that it will be shutting down Google+ due to data breaches. And, also most likely due to general lack of use. However, Google+ is NOT DEAD YET! Google says that it plans to turn off the consumer version of Google Plus in August 2019, though a version built for corporate customers will still exist. That means the consumer version will still be up until August of 2019. So why not keep using it? Here's why: Keep using Google+ for your Business websites' SEO: I always tell my Website Design and SEO clients to create a Google+ Business page and account for their business, and post regularly. Why? Because it's basically like a direct line to Google – everytime you post a new page or blog post link to Google+, I believe Google will see your new content way faster than simply waiting for them to come and re-index your sitemap and pages. I always use Google+ to post blurbs, images and links to my new pages and blog posts as it helps them get indexed in Google within days instead of weeks or months. Just like with all social media, it's good to post regularly across as many platforms as you can, as the more social media and online presences you have, the more likely Google and other search engines will sniff out your website and you will rise in the rankings. It's like a popularity contest, the more inbound pathways to your website, the better you'll do in the rankings. Having lots of other websites and social media avenues link to your website or content is a big part of SEO. As a SEO Hero, I'm always telling people to build the most in-depth website they can about the keywords they want to get found for, then use Social Media to spread the word! So, until they truly shutter the Google+ doors, why not keep using it? We have until August 2019 to continue to reap the SEO benefits of using Google+, so why stop now? I am also curious what they mean about keeping the Google+ platform for Corporate Customers, does that mean anything for small businesses? We'll see how things progress. I also wonder, did they make this announcement to get us all talking about Google+ since it has been such a forgotten platform by most? Who knows what will happen over the next year. Business Websites are Important! One thing is for sure, don't rely on ANY social media platform for your business – seeing Google, one of the biggest companies in the world, shutter it's Google+ social media platform just shows us that everything on the web (and life) is temporary, so don't put all your eggs in one basket. Remember MySpace? It was a super popular social network that quickly fell out of favor when Twitter and Facebook and other social media networks came along! Make sure you are posting good content on your website first and foremost, and then use social media to promote it. But don't forget, all your posted content on social media is not owned by you, and it could disappear at anytime – so if you're posting business photos or other info, make sure to also add these to your website via blog posts, pages, galleries, etc. Please reach out if you're in need of a easy-to-use Website Design, we design custom websites and train you on how you can update your own website over time, so you can keep it fresh and relevant. We also optimize websites for SEO and train you on how to make sure you get to the top of Google and other search engines for the things you want to be found for. Contact us today » P.S. You can also post to your Google Business (Map) Listing, which is also greatly helpful for SEO, and it's also more geared to your viewers as it will show your blog posts under your Business/Map listing when doing local searches.

  • How to install the old Wix Blog

As a Wix Designer, and SEO Hero, I get this question from other Wix designers: "How do I install the old Wix Blog?" If you are wondering how to install the better Old Wix Blog in Wix, see the screenshot below. Open your Apps from the Apps icon on the left, then search "blog". In the search results, look for "Blog by Wix" which is the old Blog. See screenshot below: I find that Wix's Old Blog has better features than the new blog, specifically, being able to select and link to your website pages with your text, which is helpful to SEO. (In the new Wix blog, you have to copy and paste URLs in a different window in order to link to it, old-school Wordpress-style.... why would they not include this simple but essential feature in the new Wix blog? I hope they will add this feature soon. It is especially problematic if you are working on a website prior to launching it, as you cannot use the temporary domain name as links as when you launch they will remain even though the domain changed to the live domain – so all the work would need to be redone for optimal SEO. Also, the New Blog doesn't allow you to post-date or schedule blog posts, which is unacceptable, given that the previous blog did allow for this. I also find the SEO easier to use in the old Blog. So, when I install blogs on Wix websites, I install the old green "Blog" versus the new "Wix Blog" that shows up at the top of the app search results list. Hopefully Wix will update the new blog with some of these essential missing features. Importing to the New Wix Blog: In October 2018, I received the update below from Wix below about the ability to import the old blog into the new blog. I will likely stay with the old blog for now since there are missing features from the new blog (scheduling/dating posts, selecting to link to specific pages on site). However, this feature update makes me wonder if this means we will eventually be able to import from other blogs, such as Wordpress? I don't see that functionality yet, but if Wix adds that, it will make it worth it to use the new Wix blog when I move clients over with lengthy Wordpress blogs. However, see Wix's comments on the Wix Blog import below, it sounds like it doesn't carry over some essential features like the comments, colors, fonts. So, this means extra work, and, if you have a blog with a lot of engagement, you may not want to switch over as you'll lose the comments. Plus the ability to schedule posts is important as well, why do they not have this feature? Read what is not included in the import/transfer: From Wix: The New Wix Blog team is constantly enhancing and adding features to the blog, however, at present, the new Wix Blog does not support all the features available in the old blog. These are main features that cannot be transferred: Pagination Automatically subscribing members Ability to schedule future posts Facebook Instant Articles Blog Ticker element Blog Archive element Google AMP If you're curious, here is the link to the article about switching to the new Wix blog: support.wix.com/en/article/request-switching-to-the-new-wix-blog Below is what they have on the page currently about the switch to the New Blog: Most all of my Website Design clients' websites and my own are using the old Wix Blog, I don't think I'll be transferring them yet due to the limitations of the new blog. But I hope that this update is paving the way for more updates down the road....

  • Google Business Phone Support

As a Website Designer and SEO Hero, it's important to have some resources like Google phone support on hand. Google doesn't exactly broadcast their phone number for Google Business Phone Support, so I thought I'd post this here so I can find it next time I have a Google Business question! Google Business Setup Phone Support Line: 1.844.491.9665 Google Cloud Support (unrelated, but putting it here in case): 1.844.491.9665 This is the number that I was given for Google Analytics, you need a Support PIN to talk to anyone – find out how to get it at work.google.com/pin Google Business Account Suspension: The reason I needed to call Google was because I recently had my Pickle-Wix Web Design Google Business account suspended (now fixed), and I couldn't figure out why. To fix this, I posted an appeal and also sent Google a support ticket to ask them what had caused the suspension. Within 24 hours I got an automated reply that they had restored my account. Whew! Then, in response to my ticket Google also called me from Mumbai the next day, and the helpful lady explained that it was an auto-generated suspension that required a "human" review of the Google Business account, and there was nothing I had done wrong. She said that the Google system periodically flags Google Business accounts to be suspended until reviewed by a human, probably to ensure that bogus listings are filtered out. Because I immediately appealed the suspension, it was only 24 hours that it was suspended, luckily. When a Google Business account is suspended, it will still show up on Google Maps, but the account owner is not able to post or edit their account until it has been reviewed and approved. She said because my account is now verified by a human, this will never happen again to this account. But, I wanted to share this story in case any of you or my clients ever have a Google Business account suspended. There are other ways that an account can be suspended, such as if you were posting copywrited content or spam,, or falsely represents a business, but I do none of these things, which is why I wondered why my account was suspended. Apparently, it was jut the luck of the draw and shouldn't happen again! What is a Google Business Account? Basically, it is the listing that shows up on Google Maps – you can post your hours, company information, photos and actual Google posts to promote your business online. It's basically like the new form of the Yellow Pages – because if you aren't on Google, you're not getting found. • Centering Dropdown Menus in Wix

As a Wix Designer, I have run into this Wix menu dropdown centering alignment issue over and over as I'm designing Wix sites. I would work on the Wix design, and build out new pages, then I'd run into problems with the dropdowns not aligning to the center of the tab that they're expanding from. See my example below: When the menu was uncentered, I would try changing the Menu Text alignment, but I could never get it to center the dropdown menu elements. The Wix help articles I Googled say to use the aligned settings, which I have, but it wouldn't work. Eureka! How Wix Helped: I called the Wix Experts pro line, and a very helpful Wix support guy helped me get to the bottom of this. He said the menu element was corrupt, and to simply delete it and then re-add it through the lefthand Add + menu, so I tried inserting a new menu, and the the new menu's dropdown are better centered, see below: This happens to my menus often as I'm building sites (has it happened to any of you?) I could never figure it out – but this immediately solved it, so from here on out, when I design sites, if the menu dropdowns get un-centered at any point, to simply delete the menu and re-add a new menu it to "reset" it's sizing. The nice thing is that Wix keeps your most recently used menu Style at the top of the Add Menu window, so you don't have to re-style it if you choose the one you already styled.

  • Wix Designer Tip: Create Hidden Pages in Wix

Here is a quick video on how you can create hidden pages in Wix: Using your Site Menu, click on the Circle with three dots to expand the menu for the page selected, then click on "Show" or "Hide" to show or hide it in your menu. To hide it from Google and other search engines, you can also click on the SEO Page settings and scroll down to "Hide this page from search results" so Google and other search engines don't sniff it out.

  • Wix in Films

We noticed that Reese Witherspoon's character in the film Home Again was building her website in Wix! She sure picked the right Website platform! Wix is one of the easiest to use website builders, and, while it's not always easy for a non-designer to build the website from scratch entirely on their own, it is a great website platform to work with a Website Designer with. I love to offer Wix Website Design to my clients as I can design their website in Wix to be beautiful, functional, and mobile-friendly, and then easily train them on how to make edits and add photos and content going forward. Not only can Wix websites be beautiful and professional, Wix is a great platform for SEO (search engine optimization) because it's so easy to use that my clients actually use it! It has a built-in blog, easy to use photo galleries and slideshows, and it's easy to add new pages and make menu adjustments. As a Website Designer, I love to design websites, but I don't necessarily want to edit all my clients websites going forward (there isn't enough time in the day!), so I love training people how to use their own website to build great SEO content over time, creating useful, in-depth websites that can show off everything their business is doing. With SEO being one of the main things you can do these days to help your business get found, making sure your website is easy to edit and add new content to is a must-have. No longer do you want to have to rely on website designers to add blog posts, it's better if you can do it yourself so you can be constantly adding good, new content for your website to get found for on Google and Bing and other search engines. • Can JotForm send Form Submissions via Text to cellphones?

Yes, you can JotForm send Form Submissions via SMS / text to cellphones. My favorite form builder tool is Jotform, it's a great form builder with lots of customizability. It's also great as you can send texts to your phone everytime your JotForm form is submitted. Here is a list of how you can email a text to cellphones using JotForm Forms by using a simple email address with the number – the only caveat is that different cell phone providers have different emails, so you need to test and use the one for your carrier. Call your carrier (and let me know!) if these don't work. • Wix Designer Tip: Does the Wix Editor work on Microsoft Surface Go?

Does the Wix Editor work on Microsoft Surface Go? The short answer is Yes! The Wix Website Editor works fine in the Chrome Browser on Microsoft Surface Go tablet computers. The Long Answer is still Yes: But I had to switch the Surface to Windows 10 Home from the S Mode, in order to install Chrome which runs the Wix Editor better. Microsoft's default browser, Edge, takes an exceptionally long time to load the editor, so it doesn't seem ideal. I also had to install updates to speed up the overall system, as it was very slow out of the box. Here's the full story and directions if you buy a Microsoft Surface Go and you wan to use it with the Wix Editor: When I first turned on my Microsoft Surface Go out of the box, I found that I couldn't get Edge, the default browser on my Microsoft Surface Go, to load the Wix Website Editor right out of the box, when I clicked "Edit Site" from my Wix Dashboard it just loaded a blank screen when I launched the editor. So then I tried to install Chrome to see if it would load in Chrome, but then hit a wall. When I downloaded Chrome using the Edge browser it, it wouldn't let me install and gave me a "For security and performance, Windows 10 S only runs verified apps. Microsoft Edge is the faster, safer browser designed for Windows 10 S. Still want to install apps from outside the Store? See how »" Darn it. I clicked on See How but didn't really get anywhere, so I scheduled a call back from Microsoft, they called me instantly and I was talking to someone within a minute – a nice MS support guy (Fernando M.) living in Nicaragua, who was very helpful and spent a lot of time on the phone with me. He said I needed to take it out of Microsoft 10 "S mode" so that I could install more applications, and that the S Mode is basically a "Safe mode" that doesn't allow for anything to be installed (good for kids). He also advised me to install any Updates under Security & Updates found under Settings (Accessed via the Gear icon in the Windows icon menu popup found in lower left). So, I installed the updates, which took 20 minutes or so and the Microsoft tech guy waited all the while, I said I could hang up and schedule a call back if needed, but he said he was happy to stay on to make sure all my questions were answered and that I could get onto the Wix editor. Note: The Microsoft Surface Go comes pre-installed with Windows 10 S mode (safe mode). This mode locks installation of apps only from the Microsoft Store versus downloading potentially dangerous .exe apps via a web browser. What does this mean? You can’t download and install Chrome in the S mode. But, the Microsoft IT guy told me it was no problem to turn the S mode off. Surface Go: How to switch out of Windows 10 in S mode (so you can install Firefox or Chrome to use with the Wix Editor) Switch Windows 10 Home in S mode to Windows 10 Home Caution: If you do switch Windows 10 in S mode to just Windows 10 Home the process is one way. There is no easy way to get back – you can only re-install the factory OS, which requires a USB drive, and several steps – and you lose all your data! Switching from Windows 10 S mode to Windows 10 Home mode is free, here's how: To switch to Windows Home Mode from S Mode: Click the Start button located at the bottom left of your screen. Select Settings gear icon, located just above the power icon on the Start menu in lower left. Select Update & Security in the Settings app. Select Activation, and then select Go to Store. Select the Get option. Click on Install when ready to proceed. The switch out of S mode just takes a few seconds, and you don't need to restart. Now you can install Google Chrome or any other software desired! Once I loaded Chrome, and tried relaunching the Wix Website Editor, it worked! I was able to make some changes, and publish the site, no problem. Great! Now I have a great little tablet to take to client meetings to show them how the wonderful Wix Editor works. Lovely. As a Wix Designer, I love showing and training people on the Wix Editor – it's such a great website builder platform! Now I can once again show them at meetings without having to have a full laptop or desktop available. Perfect!

  • Why Wix is a Good Choice

I've been a website designer for over 15 years, and I've been a Wix Designer for over five years, and I really do love Wix – I think it's a great platform for Website Designers as it's so easy to use, you can design right into the working webpages instead of designing first in Photoshop and then rebuilding it – so that's a huge bonus. It also doesn't require a lot of coding, which saves time and let's me offer website design to my clients at a lower cost. It's also easy to make design adjustments, so design changes are less costly. Most importantly, I offer Wix training to my clients on how to use their Wix designed website, so they can make most or all of their ongoing edits and updates on their own. I love that, because, while I don't mind making edits/udpates, I have so much work designing new sites, I love to be able to give clients the keys to their own website so they can update it however and whenever they'd like. Wix just released a great little PDF that explains Why Wix is the Right Choice for Your Website, check it out, I thought it was a great read and has some great examples of why Wix is a great choice for most business website needs: Why Use Wix?

  • Wix Expert

Wix just released these new Wix Official Expert Badges to us Wix Experts to use. I love being a Wix Expert because Wix is my favorite platform. I can easily design beautiful, functional websites that are easy to use, easy to edit, have great SEO features, and my clients love it! I've designed hundreds of Wix sites over the years, and while I do work in other platforms such as Wordpress and Shopify, hands down my favorite platform to work in is Wix. That's because it's so easy to design right in the platform, and you don't have to make design compromises or spend hours coding something and realizing you don't even like the look of it or it doesn't work right. Wix allows me to offer better, easier to update websites to my clients within budget. And that makes me happy and my clients happy, so it's a win-win! View some of my Best Wix Websites »

  • #1 SEO Hero

How do I know that Wix is good at SEO? Because my Wix-built SEO Hero website has climbed to the #1 spot on Google! Last year in March 2017, Wix announced a contest with a $50,000 prize for anyone who could get to the top of Google for the keywords "SEO Hero." I jumped at this opportunity to test out the Wix platform for SEO, as the Contest leveled the SEO playing field. The contest required that any website entered into the contest would need to be a brand-new website. Websites needed to be under a new registered domain, so they could not be an existing website. There were also a lot of other rules that forbid various cheating link-building techniques, and there was a judge to determine the winner. And, with a $50,000 prize, you KNOW there were hundreds of SEO companies out there trying to win the cash. The contest didn't require a site be on Wix, so most of these SEO companies did not use Wix, many used Wordpress and other platforms to try to win the prize money. While my submitted Wix-built website, wix-seo-expert.com, did not win the Wix Contest (bummer), it did do very well and even got an honorable mention from Wix (also see it on the right), and it has since climbed to the top and is now #1 in Google for "SEO Hero"! That means it's beating the winner of the contest (read more about the winner below). This website is even is beating Wix's very own SEO Hero website that they used for the contest (giftedseohero.com). Check out Wix's official SEO Hero contest website in the video, below: The official Wix SEO Hero Contest winner was a team from France that built a keyword explorer tool they called SEO Hero. While I can't quite figure the tool out as it doesn't seem to give me good results, it was none-the-less a genius idea because Google loves new tools and resources, and, at the time of the contest judging, they were in the #1 slot. However, SEO is a long-distance race, and my own Wix-built website with lots of great SEO Hero Resources and SEO Hero Tips has since risen and remained at the top of Google due to it's in-depth information and pages that help anyone become their own SEO Hero. Wix's SEO Hero Contest Proves Wix is good at SEO: What I loved about the SEO Hero contest was that I was able to truly test the Wix platform for SEO against a plethora of other SEO companies who built competing sites on different platforms (such as Wordpress and other custom platforms). And, it was only myself building it, so I didn't spend a huge amount of time on it as I have a full-time successful website design business (picklewix.com.) As I only worked on it occasionally as time permitted, I was impressed that it still did so well against teams of people at SEO companies around the world. In retrospect, I should have spent a little more time on it as I could have won the $50,000 prize! But, I still won a prize – the knowledge of knowing that Wix is good at SEO. Since my Wix-built site is now #1 on Google for "SEO Hero", there is NO DOUBT that Wix can compete with the best platforms out there for SEO. That's because Wix does have all the tools you need to succeed with SEO, as long as you know how to use them. It's all about building REAL, in-depth, and useful content around keywords you want to be found for, and optimizing your pages accordingly. If you need a SEO Hero, please contact me today and I can give you a free estimate for SEO for your website. Some SEO Hero Quick Stats: Google has indexed 5,380,000 results for the search term, "SEO Hero". There are 2,400 searches a month for "SEO Hero". From Wix's Contest Website - Official rules: You can enter your site in the competition by submitting a link from (and including) November 16 to December 16, 2016. Every day from March 13 to March 15, 2017 at 12:00pm ET (noon) and 20:00pm ET, the moderator will search for the term “SEO Hero” on Google. The site to rank the highest on average over this period will be the winner. In the event of a draw, a seventh search will be run on March 16, 2017 at 12:00pm ET (noon) to determine the winner. The winner will be announced within 2 weeks of the challenge end date. View complete Wix SEO Hero Contest Rules PDF » Need a SEO Hero? • Biodegradable Plastics Website Design

We are excited to announce the launch of a new website design for: www.maverickent.net The Wix Website design included a logo design and infographic design for Biodegradable products from Maverick Enterprises. They make compostable, recyclable, biodegradable plastics that break down in landfills and even home composts. Their products include Cutlery like Plastic Spoons and Forks, Plates, Bowls, Bags, Shrink Wrap Films, Envelopes, Coffee bags, Diapers, Plant Pots, and Produce Stickers. Part of the design included created an infographic design to illustrate how the plastic breaks down and how it's different than most "compostable" plastics as it actually does break down and doesn't need a commercial facility or air to do so, it can even break down in landfills. Interesting stuff! Check them out: www.maverickent.net

  • Web Archive Tool

I had a Website Design client who discontinued their website as they're retiring, but they wanted to keep a backup of it for sentimental value to look at down the road. Unfortunately, they had already cancelled their Wordpress website on GoDaddy's hosting, so the site was already gone and could no longer be viewed. But, we found out about this great tool that shows you archived versions of websites. It's not a fool-proof tool, but you can take screenshots of pages if desired, or print PDFs, or copy and paste text or pull images as needed from the archived versions of the website. Check out this handy tool at: web.archive.org Just enter in the URL, then click on any highlighted date in the calendar to view the archives back in time. I was able to take screenshots of all of her website files for her to save! Lovely.

  • Website Designers Love Wix

I just wanted to share some more recent articles about why Website Designers Love Wix! I've been writing about Wix for several years in hope to dispel the common myth that Wix isn't good for professionally designed websites. Many Advertising Agencies and SEO Companies who aren't that familiar with the Wix platform say that it isn't cut out for professional websites for businesses – but they couldn't be more wrong. Wix is chock-full of amazing features, including the best Website Editor in the business (Wix is WYSIWYG: what you see is what you get), and great SEO features that help you get to the top of the search engines. Because Wix is so easy to use, my clients absolutely LOVE it, and I love designing in it. I include Wix training with all my website designs, because it's very easy to teach clients how to use their own website so they can keep it updated, add blog posts, add photos and new pages over time without having to call me everytime they have a small change. This is very different from Wordpress and other platforms, that most of my clients get frustrated with due to the difficulty of editing, and as a result they also let get outdated over time. As another fellow website design firm, Ulster Studios, says: "We prefer Wix because most businesses overestimate their ability to maintain and update their websites. Wix is the superior user-friendly solution. Coders come and go. Before you know it, that expensive coded or WordPress website gets put on the back-burner. Now you've got an expensive, non-functioning site that not only isn't helping your business grow, it's hurting it. With Wix, the editor is as simple to use and learn as Microsoft Word or PowerPoint so its the easiest solution to maintain. This is important, especially for startups and small businesses when money can be tight and they can't afford to pay someone for updates and maintenance." Read more of their great article on Why We Use Wix » Below is another great article about Wix being the best website builder for small businesses: Brett Haralson who works at Wix brought this article to my attention, as the writers had interviewed me sometime ago and mention me in the article. This is a great read that talks about the strengths and weaknesses of platforms, and why Wix is the clear leader: Excerpt from Engaget article: After researching 17 of the top website-building services and hosts, building 20 websites with seven of the most promising ones, and changing hundreds of little things on each page, we believe Wix is the best way for a small business to put up a professional-looking website. Its templates, setup interview, and editing tools create modern, clean-looking sites that you can easily customize, and adding crucial tools like contact forms or restaurant menus is easier than with other website-building tools. Wix's customer support is reliable, its free trial is generous, and its pricing is clear and fair for small businesses. They even included me in a mention: I also spoke with several experienced designers about their processes for building websites for clients, both with template-based building apps and through a traditional design-and-build process.... Idelle Fisher, proprietor of Pickle-Wix Web Design, has over 15 years of professional Web-design experience (and, as you might guess, works to set up Wix sites for clients). I'm glad to see that people are writing about their love of Wix. I truly believe it's an amazing platform, and the Wix wizards are continuing to improve it with the feedback from the designer community. So if you're interested in finding out how Wix maybe the best platform for your business, feel free to reach out. I am happy to review your needs and provide a free estimate on what it would take to design a beautiful Wix website for you as well as train you (and/or your staff) to keep the website updated going forward. I also offer SEO Packages, and am a SEO Hero so I can help you get your website to the top of the search engines for the keywords you want to be found for. Idelle Fisher, owner Pickle-Wix Web Design

  • Best Wix Website

I've designed a lot of Wix websites over the years, and my clients and I love the Wix platform. It's easy to design beautiful, polished, mobile-ready websites that shine on all devices including computers, tablets and phones. The Wix Editor is easy for my clients to use, and, after a little bit of training that I provide as part of my Wix Design services, they are able to keep their website up-to-date and help optimize the SEO content on a regular basis so that they're website rises to the top of search engines. One of my Best Wix Websites I've designed was for AndersonsLaCostanursery.com – they had beautiful photos, and I was able to use some of my illustrations to decorate and enhance the website design. Check out this beautiful Wix site below. Looking for more more beautifully-designed Wix websites? Check out my Best Wix Websites »

  • Wix Designer: Why I love being a Wix Pro

I have been a Wix Designer since 2013, when I first discovered it. My husband, who works in the Denver Advertising Agency arena as a Print Production Artist and Manager, first heard of Wix through a designer at an agency who was using it for his band – and he loved Wix. So my husband told me to check it out. I was working on a Denver website design for a social media marketing company that was destined to be a Wordpress website. I had designed it in Photoshop, and had it approved, and thought, "Do I really want to start battling Wordpress to build a custom theme today?" "Maybe I'll try designing it in Wix." And then my Website Designer life changed. I rebuilt the approved Photoshop page designs I had created into Wix. And it seemed way too easy. I thought, this is too good to be true! I built out the mobile design version using the handy Wix mobile editor... and it blew me away. Never before had I designed a website so perfectly and so quickly and all without using a single line of code. It was amazing!! I was worried that the Wix website wouldn't perform well on various devices including desktop computers, tablets and all the various phones... but it worked great! I was able to build in slideshows, custom designed pages, landing pages, social media feeds, a blog... you name it! I was also worried that Wix websites wouldn't perform well for SEO (search engine optimization). But, I've designed hundreds of Wix websites over the past 5 years, and nearly ALL of them do super well for searches in Google, if they're optimized right. In fact, I entered Wix's SEO Hero contest in which I started a brand-new Wix website design and competed against thousands of other teams and SEO companies for the $50K prize... and while it didn't win (I didn't spend as much time as the winner's team did!), it did get an honorable mention from Wix, and is still in the top 5 search results for "SEO Hero." That means it beat out hundreds of other websites on other platforms like Wordpress. So yes, Wix is great for SEO! While Wix may not be the perfect fit for every single custom website – for example, super customized Ecommerce websites would be better suited in other platforms such as Shopify or Woocommerce – it IS perfect for 80% of my website design clients. It works beautifully on mobile, is easy to edit, and the design is fully customizable, all while being more cost effective to design for smaller budgets due to the fact that little coding is needed (saving me tons of hours of development time, which I pass the savings onto my clients). So I'm now proud to be a Wix Designer and Wix Expert, I have even had trainings and been a guest speaker in workshops and online SEO seminars put on by Wix. I am also part of the Wix Experts community where we work directly with Wix to help improve the platform and add new features that our clients need. Wix is, in my opinion, the best Website Builder and Content Management System out there! My clients LOVE Wix and I LOVE Wix because it's easy to use, is incredibly easy to design in, and works great for SEO. So it's the perfect website platform! I hope to be designing in Wix for many years to come. Below are some of the websites I've recently worked on as a Wix Designer: View my full Wix Designer Portfolio »

  • Freelance Web Designer

Looking for a Freelance Web Designer? I am a Denver-based Website Designer and Graphic Designer and I love working with small businesses. View my Website Design Portfolio or view some of my recent web design projects below. I am a reliable Freelance Web Designer and Graphic Designer, and have been in the business for over 16 years. I have had many of my clients for a lot of that time, updating and redesigning their websites over time. I also work with hundreds of companies to design and develop a great website and then train them to take the ball and run with it – and then they just occasionally reach out for new web design or graphic design projects as needed. I've seen the website design world change a LOT in the past 15 years, I used to even do Flash Animation, but with the mobile phone takeover of website viewers, I change and discover the newest best tools for websites that work on all devices. One of my favorite Website Platforms is Wix, as it has an amazing, easy-to-use WYSIWYG editor that excels over any other website building platform out there. While it's not always easy for anyone to actually build their own websites in Wix, it is a great platform that I build my client websites on and then train them to use so they can keep updating their website, add posts to their blogs, change out galleries, add pages, etc on their own. This is great, because, as a SEO Hero, I know that keeping your website updated with fresh, new original content is the most important thing you can do for SEO (search engine optimization) so that your website can be found. I also work on other platforms, such as Wordpress or Shopify, and will recommend the best platform for your needs. I build every website with SEO in mind, and make sure everything is done properly to perform best in search engines, and on every device, from tablets to phones to desktop computers. Graphic Design: I also am a Graphic Designer, so I offer a range of design services including: Logo Design. Catalog Design, Book Design, Brochure Design, Direct Mail Design, Business Card Design, Annual Report Design and illustration. • Wix Designer Tip: Add Same Page Twice to a Wix Menu

Wix Designer Tip: If you want to add a page to a Wix website menu more than once, you can't link to it using the link feature in the Page menu add-ons because pages already used in menu won't show up as a selection. To work around this, just use the "Link" to link to a website address instead and choose "current window" for it to open into. You'll need to copy and paste the full URL of the page to do this, so you'll need to visit the live site to copy that URL. I use this if a client wants to have a Page in the main Menu, but also list it in a drop down menu – so the page has two ways to get to it. Wix won't let you put a page more than once in the menu, so you can use the Website Address linking method to link to a page from the Wix website menu more than once.

  • Wix Review - 2018

I am amazed that advertising agencies, marketing people, SEO companies, and other large businesses still doubt that Wix is a professional website solution. With all the more widely-known platforms such as Wordpress, Squarespace, MoPro and others, often times people in these businesses – especially ad agencies – turn their nose up at Wix. I've been asked recently by several clients: "Why don't people like Wix?" My answer is that Wix in the past had a bad reputation for SEO and Mobile viewing. You see, when Wix first started, it used to be a Flash-based platform, which was NOT good for SEO or Mobile. Flash-based websites also became obsolete due to Mobile Smart Phones taking over a huge part of the web-surfing market. Flash is not compatible with mobile, so old Wix websites quickly became obsolete in a growing world of mobile users. However, Wix switched over to a HTML5 platform many years ago, and has make HUGE improvements to it's website editor platform over the past several years. In my opinion, it's now the BEST platform out there. I think a lot of old-school website designers and developers have not yet discovered or used Wix yet, and therefore most don't realize how far it's come over the past several years. Wix is an Amazing Platform! As a Website Designer having worked in the Website Design business for over 15 years, Wix is the first platform that I've seen that stands out high above the rest of the platforms. The editor is a WYSIWYG editor (what you see is what you get) – which means it's super easy for website designers like myself to design, launch and edit websites. Wix has changed my website design world! I used to develop a lot of websites in Wordpress, Joomla, Squarespace, Shopify, Volusion, Magento, you name it. But over the years, with all the hacked Wordpress sites, and also dealing with mobile layouts, I had almost quit the business because I was tired of custom developing sites for all the hundreds of devices and browsers. My clients often didn't have large budgets to accomodate for all the extra programming every design change required in Wordpress or other platforms. So when I first tried out Wix, I thought it was too good to be true! But it wasn't – I found that Wix websites do extremely well with SEO and the design can be fully customized easily without the time-consuming CSS and HTML5 coding that other platforms require. Over the past 5 years, I've designed hundreds of Wix websites for businesses large and small. I've fallen in love with Wix and rarely recommend any of these other platforms to my clients. Why? Because my clients LOVE Wix. I can't tell you how many times a client has come to me with a Wordpress website that they are super frustrated with, whether it's because they can't make simple design tweaks, or because it's been hacked (very common!) and is broken or sending users to spam sites. Wix is a secure, closed-platform that doesn't allow for easy hacking, unlike the widely-used open-source Wordpress platform. To be honest, I've had it with hacked or outdated/broken Wordpress sites. Once in awhile, I may recommend Wordpress or Shopify or other platforms to certain clients as it may be a better fit if a super custom database, or a customized shopping cart, or a sophisticated member-login area is required, but most business websites don't need (or don't have the budget for) a custom developed site – they just need a custom design. Most clients just need a website that looks amazing, is easy to use for viewers, easy to edit and update, and works great on phones. Wix is the perfect website platform for this! Wix also has tons of easy-to-use features, like SEO features, blogs, forums, animation, password-protected pages, photo galleries, third-party apps, and so much more. And, with the recent release of Wix Code, we can now add in custom code to do some of the things that the platform doesn't offer out-of-the-box, such as collapsing menus, database-driven page content and more – the sky is the limit with Wix Code! Is Wix good for SEO? Yes, it's actually really good for SEO (search engine optimization)! I've found that my own and my client's Wix websites perform extremely well in search engines like Google, even when it's a newly launched website. Wix has all the SEO features built right in so that we can easily add Meta tags like Page Titles and Descriptions, as well as alt-image text for text. And, because it's so easy to update the website content and add blog posts, this really helps boost SEO for websites because adding new content regularly is the best way to stand out and rise in the rankings in Google search results. Proof that Wix is a SEO Hero: I participated in Wix's SEO Hero contest for the $50,000 prize, and, while my SEO Hero Wix website didn't win first place, it did extremely well in the contest and Google rankings, and even got an honorable mention from Wix. It is actually HIGHER now than the contest winner, seo-hero.tech, which is currently #3 (as of July 3, 2018) as it is currently #2 in Google's search results for "SEO Hero," which means it beat out hundreds of other SEO company websites built just for the contest – and whom used a variety of different platforms including Wordpress and other custom platforms. My one-person created Wix SEO Hero site beat nearly every one of them. This is proof that Wix, if optimized correctly, can EXCEL at SEO! Is Wix a Professional Platform for large Businesses? Of course it is! I've designed many high-end websites in Wix, from Colorado School of Mines' Fundraising Campaign website to a website for New York Times best-selling Author Sandra Dallas. That said, Wix DOES tout itself as a "build it yourself" website platform. Which is true – IF you like designing and have experience with website design. Just like anything, Wix has a learning curve, and you need web design skills and the desire to design to create beautiful websites in Wix. Many of my clients don't have problems updating their websites, but they do have problems trying to design a website from start to finish. Even though Wix is easy to use, Wix Designers like myself know the ins-and-outs of the platform to make it perform at it's best, and know what tools and features work best for specific needs. As a Wix Designer, I also use design programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to design custom images, logos, infographics and other graphics to use in website designs. Wix Website Designers also know how to perform SEO (search engine optimization) correctly on websites, how to add alt text to images, how to name pages, etc so that the websites can get found in search engines like Google. With 15+ years of website design experience, I bring a lot of expertise and knowledge to the table. I always tell people that Wix is a great tool, but there is no magic button that makes the design look and work great for any business – Designers lend our design eyes and skills to every page to make it a great site. Check out my Website Design Portfolio, packed with professional Wix designed websites. See a few below: So next time someone tells you that "Wix isn't a professional platform" – don't believe the hype! Wix is quickly becoming one of the most loved platforms available – thousands of Website Designers are discovering how wonderful Wix is, and there is even a whole community of Wix Design Experts that is growing everyday. This week was the 1st ever WixCON in Miami, so hundreds of designers are attending to learn more about and discuss Wix. Wix also listens to us and we have a Wix Design Experts Facebook group that lets us talk directly with Wix staff as well as other Wix designers to work together to continue to improve the Wix platform and figure out solutions for all types of website needs. Happy Wixing! – Idelle Fisher, owner of Picklewix Website Designer for 15+ years

  • Easy Privacy Policy Generator for GDPR Compliance

On May 25th 2018, a new European Union privacy regulation—known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)—will come into effect. The aim is to protect the personal data of all EU citizens. Whatever the location of your business, if you own a website with EU visitors, you will want to make sure your website is GDPR compliant. To meet GDPR requirements, make sure to create a privacy policy, letting visitors know how your site processes and uses visitors' data—including information on cookies and other tracking technologies. As a Denver Website Designer, adding a Privacy Policy on websites is part of the design process. Having a Privacy Policy on your website is an important but often overlooked page to have on company websites. If you don't already have a Privacy Policy, here is a simple and free tool that generates a Privacy Policy that you can then copy and paste to use on your website: www.bennadel.com/coldfusion/privacy-policy-generator.htm Basically, if you have a site and you want it to be GDPR compliant, here are the simple steps we recommend: 1. Contact Forms: Add a checkbox to all forms that asks users to agree that you are collecting their data and agreeing to the terms in your privacy policy. 2. Create Privacy Policy for page – Link to your privacy policy on your form (ideally next to the agreement checkbox) 3. Form to Opt Out of User Data Storage: On the Privacy policy page, include a form users can fill in to have you remove their data if they wish. Setup a notification from the form so you get an email notification, and remove their information if requested. And please, don't abuse people's information! The people who have been abusing it have caused all this extra aggravation for the rest of us. Be good. Don't spam! Not simultaneously bored and annoyed with all the GDPR compliance demands yet? ;) Want to read more? • Wix Blog Facebook Share Image – how to get it to work!

Want to know how to setup your Wix Blog Facebook Share Image? One of the common questions I get as a Wix Website Designer is "How come when I post links to my blog posts from my Wix website, Facebook doesn't show an image?" When sharing Wix website blog posts on Facebook, often times the image doesn’t show up right away on new posts as Facebook hasn’t scraped the information from the page yet. To fix this, you can use the Facebook Sharing Debugger to “scrape” the link until the image appears: developers.facebook.com/tools/debug IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE: Image Posts are Better than Link Posts! I also believe that if you upload an image and have the link as part of the image's post text rather than a shared link preview, it shows up more often in people's feeds than a link post. So I find this is a better solution for reaching more people on Facebook. To do this, you upload your image FIRST to the post you’re making on Facebook, then after you've uploaded the image, you can then paste in the link as part of your post. This way, it won’t treat it like a link post, which it doesn’t show as often to people as image posts.

  • Wix Designers Tip: Wix Video Backgrounds on Mobile

As a Wix Designer, I get this question a lot: "Why don't my videos play on mobile?" Video can be handled in one of two ways on Wix – you can use it as a video background, or you can embed videos using the Wix Video app, or embed YouTube or Vimeo or Facebook video players. Video backgrounds: These are great as they auto-play on desktop computers, giving the website movement, however if you use video backgrounds on Wix (or any website for that matter), they won’t play on mobile (videos also don’t have sound if used as a video background). In Wix, if you use background videos for strips or page backgrounds, it will just take the first Image Still of the video and display that on mobile. Embedded Video: You can display videos that play on both desktop and mobile if you use regular video embedding with Wix, such as Wix Video, Youtube, Facebook or Vimeo embedding. However, these video apps are not background videos and therefore will not be able to be displayed at a scaling full screen or as background elements that fill the page. These embedded videos won’t auto-play either, but there will be a play button for mobile users to click to play. No video auto-plays on mobile on any websites due to data-bandwidth limitations of mobile, they don’t want videos auto-playing on websites as it takes a lot of bandwidth! Here's an example of an embedded YouTube video using Wix's easy to use video embedding app (you simply paste the URL link of the YouTube video desired to embed, and Wix does the rest of the work for you): Animated Gifs work on Mobile! You could, as an alternative, use animated gifs, like the bee image below, which DO show up on mobile. :) But they can be quite large in filesize if they are large (for use as backgrounds) or if there is a lot of movement/frames. • Red Hatch Chile Photography

As a Graphic Designer and Website Designer, I occasionally play around with photography for my client projects. Here is a photo I took in a lightbox of one of Sandiaseed.com's famous Red Hatch Chiles that I grew from their seed. I will be posting more photos of her peppers this year, using the lightbox to really make them shine!

  • 2018 Wix Review by a Website Designer

Check out this 2018 Wix Review from New York Times' thewirecutter.com, they say Wix is the best website builder for small businesses! I agree, Wix really is the best website editor and builder! My clients love it, as do I. Hence the name "Picklewix" :) I love making homegrown pickles + I love working in Wix, so my husband nicknamed me Picklewix many years ago. I'm so glad to no longer be having to deal very often with other clunky, time-consuming platforms like Wordpress. I still work on these other platforms for some of my clients, but every time I do, I'm thinking, "Why can't this be as easy as Wix?" I feel like Wordpress and Shopify, Squarespace and other editors are in the dark age of website design editors, where Wix has stepped into the light. :) There is still plenty of room in Wix for improvement and new features (Wordpress Import, better Shopping Cart customization, etc), but I am very excited to be part of the Wix Design Experts Community helping to guide Wix's future with our input. Here's Wirecutter's Wix Review, below, I love this quote: "Wix presents the fewest obstacles to putting an informative, attractive, and useful website online." I wholeheartedly agree, Wix is like smooth sailing compared to any other website editor that I've come across in my 15 years of designing websites! This great Wix Review was brought to my attention by Marianne Borozny from the Wix Design Experts Facebook group. I didn't know it at the time, but I had spoken with someone who said they were writing an article a few weeks back – we were discussing why I like Wix, and I now realize they were with Wirecutter, as they mentioned me in the article above! :) As a Website Design for over 15 years, I have worked in so many platforms I can't remember them all! I discovered Wix about 4 years ago thanks to a recommendation from my husband Todd Fisher, who is an expert Print Production Artist. His coworker in the ad agency business had mentioned that they liked Wix, and he told me to check it out. So I did, and fell in love almost immediately with the platform. It was so easy I felt it was too good to be true... but it has not disappointed! Over the years I've found Wix to be extremely reliable, easy to use, and continually morphing and improving with new features and functionality. The best part, my clients love the platform, and once I train them on how to use Wix, they are able to update and manage their own websites with ease. Here's more from the Wix Review Wirecutter article: Read the full Wix Review Wirecutter article » Wix Designers While Wix may be the best website builder, that doesn't always mean that you can easily do-it-yourself. Wix, as with all software, has a learning curve and unless you're graphic-design-inclined, you may find the editor overwhelming. If you want help with a Wix Website design, there are plenty of Wix Designers that can help! As a Wix Website Designer, I often work with businesses to design, and build out their website, and then I train them on how to use the easy Wix editor to keep their website updated over time. Once the website is designed and launched, most people find the Wix editor much more approachable and easy to figure out how to make changes. Working with Wix Designers is also wise as experienced website designers know the ins-and-outs of SEO (search engine optimization) so they can ensure your website pages are all optimized to be found for ideal keywords in search engines. With my Wix Website Design packages, I offer SEO keyword research, optimization of meta tags like the Page Title tag, description tags, and alt image tags. I will help write your page titles and descriptions and guide you with your page content to ensure that your pages will be found by searchers looking for your services or products. I am a SEO Hero, so I can help educate you on how you can build your site's content over time to really be found by potential customers. Let us know if you want to talk about your website design or graphic design needs and we can let you know if Wix is the right website platform for your business needs. • SEO Website Design Company

As a website designer for over 15 years, I have worked with some of the top SEO (search engine optimization) companies. I can't say I love any of them, a lot of SEO companies require contracts and high monthly costs but don't seem to do much other than give my clients SEO reports. I now recommend my clients do their own SEO, rather than paying for SEO companies, as they often don't do it the honest, long-term way. What way is that? Simply adding good content on your website, and optimizing it to be found. I work with many of my clients to come up with and create new SEO content to help them get found online. Here are a few examples of websites I've designed and have helped with SEO: www.prontoassembly.com Designed and optimized website SEO for keywords like “ikea delivery nyc” and “ikea assembly nyc” - he’s on the first page near the top. www.dennispendletonstudio.com Designed and optimized website SEO for keywords like: “denver watercolor classes” - he’s #1! www.sandradallas.com Author website - Designed and optimized website SEO for keywords like: “Sandra Dallas” as well as titles on her books like “The Last Midwife” www.picklewix.com My own website I optimized for “Wix Designer” “Wix Web Designer” “Infographic Designer” and many others that I rank on the first page. www.wix-seo-expert.com I also have this site that I used to compete in Wix’s SEO Hero contest against a lot of other SEO companies, read more about it lower on the page - the site did very well against all the competitors!

  • SEO Hero Tip: Use Google+

While Google+ may seem dead to most of us, it's still a VERY useful term for SEO! Why? Here are my top reasons: When you post links to Google+, your pages get indexed immediately. So it's basically like telling Google personally, "Hey, I just put up a new page, can you index this new page for me now?" Uploading images, links, information and tips to Google+ will just plant more seeds into the Google world for people to find. You can also build themed Google+ Collections so you can post to different collections that could be found by other Google+ users if looking for specific topics. Below is an example of a Google+ page that I help post to for one of my clients, Sandiaseed.com. I post links to blog posts that we write that discuss relevant topics for her seed customers, like: "How to grow Hatch chile" or "Weak Pepper Seedlings." Once we add new blog posts, content, or products to her website, we post on Google+ to immediately get Google to see this great new content. So make sure not to overlook Google+ as an important tool for promoting your website. Everytime you add new pages, blog posts or other information to your website, let Google know to check it out right away by simply posting to your business Google+ page.

  • SEO Hero Tip: Spin a Web of Content

If you want to be your own SEO Hero for your website, then spin a web of content! By this, I mean build more and more content over time, just like a spider spins her web. In this video above, the spider diligently works to add threads around the entire web. You can use this same philosophy for SEO for your website, you want to add lots of threads of content everywhere. Add content to your blog, or add new pages that explain commonly asked questions, anything that is relevant to your business. Basically, think about what people want to find you for in search engines, then write about it! Once you've created new threads of great original content on your website, the next step is to thread it throughout the web – by posting links to your website's new content or pages on social media or in other blogs or forums. A great example is to use your Google Business page to create a post in the Google+ that links to your webpage for more info. Or, you could create a new blog post on LinkedIn that helps answer or give good info to people, and have it link to your webpage for more detailed, in-depth information. And, like an old web, it's important to KEEP building that web of content – ALWAYS add new content to your website as often as you can. Use a blog to post new content, which creates a new page for each post and really helps with SEO as people can find these pages and come into your site through a thousand different "threads".
