As a Wix Designer and Wix SEO expert, I do recommend using a thank you page as you can include additional info such as FAQs, as well as links to other pages for more info. More importantly, adding a redirect to send the user to a new page upon submitting the form decreases your webpage's “bounce rate” which can help with search engine ranking/optimization (SEO). Google and other search engines take Bounce Rates into consideration when ranking sites, “Bounce Rate” refers to the percentage of visitors to a particular website who navigate away from the site after viewing only one page. So by sending users who submit your contact form to a thank you page, this reduces the bounce rate of the page that the form is on as it moves the user to a new page on the site. So I recommend using a Thank You page for SEO purposes. Of course, that’s not to say you can’t use a thank you message instead, but having a thank you page redirect can be more helpful for your overall website ranking in search engines. Happy Wixing!
