How do I add an OpenTable widget to Wix?
Open Table Widget Fix for Wix: I installed an Open Table widget script for a restaurant client on their new Wix website, but it was showing up blank in the iframe HTML box on the live site and in the editor. I couldn't figure out why until I Googled "Open Table widget on Wix" and I found the Open Table instructions on how to insert it on Wix. The trick is to add <div></div> tags before and after the Script code they provide. Otherwise it won't display anything. Go figure! Easy fix but took me a minute to figure this out as it was not in the reservation widget page in the Open Table backend. So here it is for ya'll!
Instructions from Open Table:
Log in to Wix and navigate to the website editor.
Select the Add Elements .
Select Embed HTML.
Use the What do you need to add? Menu and select Code.
Paste the reservation widget code into the box.
Note: Make sure your code is enclosed within <div> tags. Example: <div>WIDGET CODE</div>
Use the Widget Type setting in OpenTable for Restaurants to experiment with different-sized widgets.
Publish your updates.
