Wix Designer Tip: Wix Accessibility Wizard

I just discovered this great tool from Wix - the Accessibility Wizard.

This tool helps identify if your page is missing any H1 or H2 tags, as well as Image Alt Text to ensure your website is accessible to all. This helps not only with your website's accessibility, but it also helps with your search engine optimization (SEO), as it allows for search engines to "read" all the images on your page and identify what content is most important by the H1 and H2 tags.

The best part of Wix's Accessibility Wizard is that it actually walks you through and DOES THE WORK FOR YOU. You simply choose from a dropdown of your page content to pick what text you want to be your headline (H1) and subhead (H2), and/or paste in or type the text for each image's alt text, and as you apply each, Wix does the work for you, updating the content on the page. No need to search and find every image on each page to make sure you didn't overlook the image alt text. It's also a great way to review that you didn't overlook any H1 or H2 tags on all your pages.

With SEO, it's also good to weave in well-searched keyword phrases that are relevant to each page in the page Title, Description, and the body text – so this Accessibility Wizard isn't the end-all-be-all for SEO – but it is a really handy tool that allows you to quickly find and fix any missing image alt text or H1 or H2 tags throughout your Wix website.
