Wix Website Repeater Dataset Collection Unavailable
As a Wix Website Designer, I sometimes run into issues that stump me. Today, I ran into this issue with client website's Repeater Dataset not being able to connect to their Events.. here's the solution. Wix Issue: When I tried to edit my Events dataset for my Repeater, in the Dataset Settings panel it gave me an error: "This collection is unavailable. Go to Advanced Settings in the Content Manager to show hidden Wix App Collections. Create a collection with the same name to restore a deleted collection."
I could not for the life of me find where the Advanced Settings were in the Content Manager, so I scheduled a call back from Wix's excellent phone support team to help. They took awhile to figure it out (she had to put me on hold for about 10 minutes) but eventually they found where the Advanced Settings were. Here's how to get to it:
In the Wix Editor, click on the Content Manager icon on the bottom right of the icon menu.
Click on any collection, doesn't matter which, to launch the Content Manager window
In the new Content Manager window, in the top middle-left you'll see the breadcrumb links, click on Content Manager to go up to the main Content Manager page.
Then click on More Actions dropdown and choose Advanced Settings
Here is where you can turn on the Wix App Collections
Why the Wix App Collection was suddenly turned off on my client site is a mystery, though I suspect because Wix support said that this is a new feature, maybe it defaults to off? If so, this is the solution to allow them to be available to connect to Repeater Datasets.

If you see this "Collection is not available" error:
